What is the motive behind the Cash for Caulkers Stimulus

Some might be of the opinion that the government’s doling out free cash is not in the right spirit. But think of the healthy objective. When Washington D. C. has taken this step out of concern for its population and its well being – when it is actually trying to safeguard the very air they breathe from turning into a mass of venomous gas, no one should e complaining. The Cash for Caulkers Stimulus does just this in targeting home owners and new home buyers. It encourages them to turn over their defunct heating equipment and replace it with better, energy saving radiators and air conditioning machinery. And with rebates direct from the government, so that the hapless owner of the home pushed in to making this exchange will not feel the pinch!

The higher objective is to have greener and more eco-friendly homes that will survive the test of harsher times. Not only will the huge carbon footprint that America is constantly blamed for (most recently at the Copenhagen Accord for Climate Change) will be controlled for spiraling out of control, but this Cash for Caulkers Stimulus creates jobs too. The products would be locally manufactured and this would require manpower which would kick-start employment generation. This is in addition to the savings on the energy bills which can go through the roof because of seedy electric equipment.
